Almond Milk

Ingredients:
100g almonds (or other nuts if you want)
1 vanilla pod or a few drops of vannila essence
750ml boiled water
As for the sweetener, you can use any sweetener you want, sugar, honey, syrup.. it’s your choice
Directions:
Soak the almonds overnight with 50ml water, then add remaining water and grind in the blender till smooth.
Pour it through a sieve to remove the almond paste. Add the vanilla pod or essence before refrigerating. Store the milk in a clean and dry bottle. Serve warm or cold.
Save the almond pulp for cookie or cracker recipes that require almond pulp or almonds.
This is a excellent substitute to dairy milk, thus good for children who are lactose intolerant.It will last in the refrigerator for about 3-5 days. Shake well before using.
Variation: Blend in a banana and use a pinch of nutmeg to make a festive rawnog
