Almond Milk

For almond lover, this is something you should try 🙂

100g almonds (or other nuts if you want)
1 vanilla pod or a few drops of vannila essence
750ml boiled water

As for the sweetener, you can use any sweetener you want, sugar, honey, syrup.. it’s your choice

Soak the almonds overnight with 50ml water, then add remaining water and grind in the blender till smooth.

Pour it through a sieve to remove the almond paste. Add the vanilla pod or essence before refrigerating. Store the milk in a clean and dry bottle. Serve warm or cold.

Save the almond pulp for cookie or cracker recipes that require almond pulp or almonds.

This is a excellent substitute to dairy milk, thus good for children who are lactose intolerant. It will last in the refrigerator for about 3-5 days. Shake well before using.

Variation: Blend in a banana and use a pinch of nutmeg to make a festive rawnog
